ZJJ-part 3: Baofeng Lake

Baofeng lake is a haft natural, haft man-made lake. It’s located in high altitude  in the mountains and surrounded by mountain peaks with crystal clear blue water, purely fresh air. As a matter of fact, it’s nice but nothing more. However, if you have plenty of time in ZJJ and want to take morning exercise, it’s worth to visit because you need to walk up a hill to get there [as we did in our trip :D]

After getting on the boat, the journey begins:

From the boat ride, looking back the entrance

The motorized boat was taking us to tour around the lake, passing through many small island peaks.

It’s definitely clear blue water. People say that it’s because the lake catches the purest runoff water from the mountain peaks. Are we able to drink without stomachache? mm mm

I think Ha Long bay in Vietnam is much much more beautiful

Love taking photos from this side after getting off the boat

This is the best part of the 20-min boat ride. There are 2 Tujia singers – 1 male and 1 female – appearing 2 different side of the lake. They sing a folk song very well. Can’t understand the song meaning. From the narrator on the boat, if someone sings back 3 songs after them, they will agree to be her/his husband/wife. Lots of fun when listening to them. Unfortunately, the song is so short.

to be continued with mountains, and the smile wanderers themselves
